New Beginnings» Rainbow Stables receive the first foal of 2011. First on the ground was a Archipenko bay filly out of the the very usefull Pull The Plug. The mare a smart dual 2-year-old winner with Gr.1-trainer Rod Collet, twice placed fourth in Listed events at Lonchamp before an injury set an end to a promising career for the daugther of Pulpit. The Archipenko filly has good scope and a nice step she is bred for the Scandinavian juvenile programme and hopefully she will progress like her gr.1 winning sire.
Miss Behave wins maiden» The 2-year-old daugther of Invincible Spirit broke her maiden Saturday at Klampenborg Racecourse under an inspired ride by redhot Lennart Hammer. The returned Lennart Hammer placed the filly smartly, just off the pace and when asked quikened and only Queen by Tessa was able to challenge the granddaughter of Prix Vermeille winner Volvoreta. Miss Behave scored by half a length but with a wide margin of 7 lenghts to the debutant Fatima back in third. Trainer Søren Jensen believes the filly will go for the Vinterfavorits next if she takes her race well.
Reventon strikes Gold» Reventon finally stroke gold when winning the Copenhagen Golden Mile (L.) on Klampenborg Racecourse.
The son of Academy Award, who is from the family of the Prix de l'Opera succesor SATWA QUEEN, had a very good juvenile campaign but has been unable to fully live up to expectations since. However, this year the four year-old colt seems better than ever and finally obtained black-type after travelling handily in the back of the field and showing an immense turn of foot the last 400 meters.
Pull The Plug confirmed in foal» Useful Pull the Plug is confirmed in foal to Group-1 winner Archipenko due to one cover only.
The son of Kingmambo, who is from the family of Sadler's Wells and Nureyev, stands at Lanwades Stud in Newmarket for £8,000.

Coolmore Rocks makes Special delivery
Multiple winner and classic placed Coolmore Rocks, gave birth March 18th to her second foal, a colt by Group-1 winning and producing Special Quest, who stands at Berner Olsen's Kallehavegården in Denmark. It was a straight-forward foaling and Coolmore Rocks has proved herself to be an exceptional mother. The Special Quest colt is a nice individual that is correct, strong, and full of quality. He is the half-brother of an attractive Echo of Light colt, bound for the yearly Danish yearling sales in September at York Stud.
Pull The Plug to follow Alborada and Alouette
Pull the Plug will be sent to Kirsten Rausings Lanwades Stud where she will visit Archipenko, who is to cover a quality book including the dual Champion Stakes winner and world top-rated three-year-old filly, Alborada, as well as her multiple Group 1-producing dam, Alouette.
Archipenko, a five-year-old son of Kingmambo who hails from the stallion-producing family of Sadler's Wells and Nureyev, stands his first season at Kristen Rausing’s Lanwades Stud near Newmarket, England, in 2010. The 5-year-old son of Kingmambo retired the winner of six races from 17 starts and earnings of $2,399,395, The graded/group stakes performer in five different countries, began his career under the tutelage of Aidan O'Brien at Ballydoyle and blossomed, after being sold to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Maktoum and transferred to South African trainer Mike De Kock at the end of his three-year-old season. De Kock, saddled Archipenko to win the Group 1 QE II Cup in Hong Kong and a brace of group 2 races incl. the Summer Mile, before his slightly unlucky run in the 2008 Arlington Milion, where he was narrowly beaten by Spirit One into second place.
The mating between Archipenko and Pull the Plug is significant as it creates 3mx4f inbreeding to Mr. Prospector. The resulting foal is an A werk nick Rating and is made on the same cross as Lemon Drop Kid (Kingmambo- Seattle Slew cross).
Miss Behave to join Jensen
Miss Behave is to join the string of trainer Søren Jensen where she is to be targeted at the main juvenile events on the Scandinavian racingcalendar. Søren Jensen had a fabulous 2009 season, not only did the yard win the Trainers Championship at Klampenborg for the 15th time but the season was marked by a remarkable World Record when Søren Jensen saddled 7 winners on one racecard.
The daugther of Invincible Spirit looks sharp and will probably be campaigned over distances no further than 1600 meters. She is the first foal out of the Giant's Causeway mare, Violettas Ginger, who herself is out of the Prix Vermeille winner Volvoreta born and bred at the Jacobs-familys Newsells Park Stud.

Coolmore Rocks & Violettas Ginger in foal
Multiple winner Coolmore Rocks and royaly bred Violettas Ginger are both in foal
Coolmore Rocks is in foal to the former Criterium de St. Cloud-winner Special Quest, whereas Violettas Ginger is in foal to the stardom bound Academy Award.
Pull the Plug Retired
Multiple winner Pull The Plug will begin a new career in the breeding barn with trainer Rodolphe Collet confirming the mare's retirement.
Pull The Plug failed to please Rod Collet in a crucial track gallop. The two-time Listed fourth, had not shown her usual zest for racing while preparing for a spring campaign which was to include a tilt at Listed level.
Rodolphe Collet was already racing the clock to get Pull The Plug as the mare returned from an injury scare earlier this year before x-rays cleared her of damage to a hindhock.
Pull The Plug is by Pulpit out of the Group 2 placed mare Margay.
A daugther of German 1000 Guineas runner-up Margay, she won two of her thirteen starts and was placed another five times for more than €36.000 in prizemoney.
Rainbowstables is looking into the possibility of sending Pull The Plug to a France-based stallion.
Quilboquet partnered by international jockey
Quilboquet is to be declared for the Marit Sveaas Minneløp (Gr.3) at Øvrevoll, on monday morning. The jockeybooking is of some interest as the young starbound William Buick is to partner the son of Jules in the fight for the million norwegian kroner.
Quilboquet puts down serious marker
Quilboquet moved alongside the top contenders for the Marit Sveaas Minneløp (Gr.3) at Øvrevoll, after landing Copenhagen Golden Mile (L) at Klampenborg on Sunday. The brazilianbred colt posted an Rating of 90 for his 2 length success over Hongkong Legend, with the progressive three year-
old Reventon a further three-quarter length away in third. Quilboquet always travelled well in the Listed event and he won with a fair amount left in hand.

The progressive son of Jules is now aimed at the Norwegian season highlight Marit Sveaas Minneløp (Gr.3) at Øvrevoll on Sunday the 23rd of August.
Counting down for big clash Sunday Quilboquet and Reventon are to clash in Copenhagen Golden Mile (L) on Sunday. The day is furthermore special for Rainbow Stables as we are sponsoring the youngsters first big event Skandinavisk Opdrætningsløb on the day.
Quilboquet Looks Flashy
Quilboquet wins fashionably in Seeland Pokalløb (L) at Klampenborg Racecourse, beating Scandinavian Champion Peas and Carrots and genuine Fly Society. Quilboquet is now targeted at Copenhagen Golden Mile (L) at Klampenborg on the Scandinavian Open Championship (Gr.3) day, Sunday the 2nd of August 2009. The brazilian bred is then, if all is well with him, to run in the Norwegian million race Marit Sveaas Memorial (Gr.3).
